Sharkskin provides a high strength moisture protective covering by combining a number of key performance features to create a revolutionary line of roofing, building envelope, air/water vapor barrier products and energy saving roofing systems.

Sharkskin Ultra 2-Ply

Sharkskin’s Patented 2-Ply System consists of an engineered high-tensile strength polypropylene-based structure nailed to the roof deck as an anchor sheet. A second layer, identical in structure to the base layer, is then bonded with the first layer using our high strength synthetic butyl adhesive. This state of the art Sharkskin 2-Ply System consistently outperforms standard asphalt-based 30# felt and other asphalt-based adhesive underlayments.

Sharkskin Comp

Sharkskin Comp® is a high-performance roof underlayment that is ideally suited for use with all fiberglass-based, asphalt and modified bitumen based composite roof shingles as well as for metal roof installations.

Sharkskin Comp utilizes a unique patented multi-layer system to ensure long term protection of the roof by providing exceptional moisture protection and durability.

Sharkskin Ultra

Sharkskin Ultra® the “Original” synthetic roof underlayment developed in California and brought to market in 2001 to replace inferior tar paper and SBS underlayments, in concrete/clay roof tile installations. It’s a high-performance roof underlayment for all metal, slate, shingle and tile roof battened and counter battened installations in new construction, remodeling and renovation.

Sharkskin Ultra SA

Sharkskin Ultra SA® is a “state of the art” high temp rated peel and stick roof underlayment. By combining the heavy Sharkskin Ultra® substrate with an aggressive adhesive coating technology, Kirsch Research and Development created an “All Weather Barrier” that is easier to install in both cold and hot temperatures. Engineered as ‘secondary water barrier” to protect residential property and commercial buildings from water leaks due to high wind events.

Sharkskin Ultra Radiant

Sharkskin Ultra Radiant® is a high-performance roof underlayment that also acts as a radiant barrier for all metal, slate, tile and shingle roof installations. It was developed to exceed “California Energy Code” requirements by providing a reflective insulation layer that is an important component in the development of an “energy saving roof system” or cool roof. The radiant barrier reflects infrared energy to reduce heat gain and the cooling load on the building contributing to a more energy efficient building.

Sharkskin Ventilated Roof Mat® used in conjunction with our Sharkskin Underlayment products helps to create a more complete roofing system to allow for proper air transfer and circulation.
